This handsome young man is Achilles. Achilles was brought into rescue yesterday. He is an 18-month-old neutered male Great Dane. He is slightly underweight at 95 lb., should probably be about 105. He is being fostered with 6 other dogs, including Miss Ava and has been great with everyone. He is crate trained, house broken, knows basic commands, rides well in the car, is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He will need additional socialization around humans to gain confidence and be at ease. He is timid and shy, but extremely loving and wants to be where the humans are. Achilles will do best in a home without children, as he builds his confidence and matures. He seems to get along with male and female dogs equally well. He will require a securely fenced yard as he will test any weakness in the fence. He responds best to calm and gentle commands and is wary of humans until he is sure of you.
