Donny joined the rescue on Saturday with his sister Marie and has now been neutered, vetted and is ready for his forever home. He is 18 months old and very much a gentleman #greatdane. He is very gentle around the humans and wants to be loved on. He has met Miss Rosie and the two of them immediately began playing. He came to us from a rural north Florida Shelter. Turned in by his owner because he and his sister got too big and were put in the back yard and left there. He is a little underweight, weighing in at 114 pounds on intake and will mature to be a stunning boy with proper care. He understands the sit command and wants to please. He will need additional training on leash, we will be working on that while he is in rescue.

Greetings! My name is Donny and I would love to meet you! My sister and I have been through quite a roller coaster ride of late. This nice lady tells me that she is my foster mom and will help me find a wonderful forever home where I will be loved as part of the family. Wow, that would be so nice. I always wanted to be with my family but for some reason they put us in the back yard and left us there. I was very sad and often scared when night time would come. It got cold too. We would snuggle together to keep warm. My foster mom says that's all over now. Last night I slept in a house with a pretty girl in the huge crate next store and lots of blankets to snuggle in. I know how to sit, I'm told there is so much more for me to learn, would you like to help me learn? I will love you forever and ever. Big slobbery doggy kisses coming your way!
