This beautiful lady is our most recent addition to the Florida Giant Dog Rescue, Inc. family. Her name is Eleanor, sleek and blue just like a certain Mustang from a very popular movie from days past. The second picture melted my heart, this is the face of a dog that knows she is safe, loved and going to be cared for. This was a couple of hours after she was pulled from the shelter, with one of our experienced fosters. Eleanor needed a bath first and foremost, not only did she allow herself to be bathed, she leaned in and let her foster know how much she appreciated being saved.

We don’t have much information on her as she was a stray, taken to a local animal control and no one came looking for her. We will update her information once she has seen the vet. She will need to be spayed prior to moving into her forever home, but don’t hesitate to get your applications in for Miss Eleanor. (Email savethegiantsfl@gmail.com).

Hi Future Parent!

I've been sleeping a lot since these hoomans came to get me out of that noisy place. I had a wonderful warm bath by a very kind hooman that has been feeding me, giving me treats and gave me these SUPER comfy beds. There's more than one and I can sleep wherever I want. It's good to know there are kind hoomans, I was beginning to wonder. They tell me I'm a good girl and very beautiful, I don't know about that, but I do know I am enjoying this life. I have a playmate, but I'm just getting my energy back so we're working up to running and playing. I'm safe now - wow, that's taking time to sink in. I'll be here until they find me my furever home, I can't wait to meet those hoomans if they are as kind as my current mom. I just want to love and be loved.
