We seem to be inundated lately with dogs that define the reason behind this rescue and rescue in general. Miss Jasmine is an 8 month old Blue Lacy mix that we were contacted about. She is sweet, playful and ready for her forever home. She has been fully vetted and recently spayed. She is being fostered in a home with another small dog and doing well. She is a wiggly butt when she meets everyone and just an overall happy puppy. The Blue Lacy, also called the Lacy Dog, is an energetic, intelligent, and trainable breed that loves having a job to do and a lot of open space to run around. Blue Lacys can make great family dogs and expert watchdogs with firm training, but they are sensitive and don’t respond well to punishment. Socialization should begin early, as Blue Lacys are naturally territorial, not overly trusting of strangers, and have a high prey drive. An adult will average about 45 pounds.
She was left at a gas station by a homeless man with an apparent broken leg. A concerned citizen brought her home, cared for her and contacted us. We could not turn her away. One look at this cutie and you fall in love. The leg has been x-rayed and the break is already healing so it was determined that nothing was to be done at this point.
Looking forward to being part of your family :)
