Well the rescue wheel continues to turn and have we got a Cutie Patootie for you today! Please meet Khan, he is an 18 month old male Mastiff mix. He was pulled from a local shelter that listed him as a Bull Mastiff, we believe he is a mix, but it matters not. This boy has been nothing but sweet and wonderful in the short time he has been with me, he is, however terrified of men. Generally caused by some form of abuse, but that is just conjecture on my part. He has been at my office with me and only wants to cuddle and be pet, he does get defensive when in the office and one of the male employees approaches, we will work on that. He is fine with cats, he looks and walks past them. He is over weight and will need to lose a few pounds, but other than that he has a clean bill of health. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines. He got in the car on his own this morning after some reassurance, kindness and a few minutes to be certain he could trust me. This sweet, sweet, very scared boy will make someone a super companion and loving friend once released from evaluation. Due to his level of anxiety, we will not place him with young children. At this time he will remain in evaluation and not immediately available for adoption.
