This stunning lady is Marie, yes, she is Donny’s sister. If you don’t get the connection, there is an entire era of music you might want to check out, LOL. She was recently spayed and is ready for her forever home. She is an 18 month old spayed female black Great Dane. She is slightly more timid and reserved than Donny, she likes to play, but is cautious about the dogs in her space. She is learning how to dog with dogs other than her brother and this will serve her well as she moves on to her forever home and life. Donny and Marie will be placed separately, as she seems to be more confident on her own and Donny really doesn’t care, he’s just a super happy and playful goofball. She is very loving, sweet and will make a great companion. She would do well with another dog or on her own. Like her brother, she is housebroken, crate trained and knows a couple basic commands.

Marie and her brother Donny were surrendered to a rural North Florida animal control by their owner who strapped an XL crate to an open trailer and delivered them to the AC. When asked why they were being surrendered, the owner said he never researched the breed and saw two cute #puppies and bought them. Once the got too big, they were put in the back yard and left there with no training, socialization and little human contact. Needless to say after riding in the open to the shelter they were terrified and the staff at the shelter did their best to calm them and offer them as much love as they would accept
