We are looking for a hospice/senior, foster/adopter for this wonderful girl. Please email us if you can give this girl a loving home for her golden years. We have a program called Forgotten Frosty Faces set up just for dogs like Pretty Patty. Pretty Patty is a sweet, 12 year old mature canine companion. She’s medium size at 55 lb (we are not certain of her breeding) and extremely well mannered. She seems to be partially deaf but can hear high pitched sounds. She had a mast cell tumor removed from her rear right leg in February and will need to be monitored for recurrence. She is very independent, loves lounging in the sun and likes the occasional romp around the yard or quick game of catch with a tennis ball. She walks great on a leash and is good with other dogs she meets, on or off a leash. She’s very food motivated and likes both chew toys and stuffies (she will immediately remove the squeaker). She is perfectly behaved in the house and learned the dog door super quickly. In her foster home she is not overly affectionate, she has slowly allowed belly rubs and petting but remains wary of people she doesn’t know. She will watch out the window in the back yard for birds and squirrels. She deserves a loving home where she can sleep on the sofa or in the sun and have all the treats and affection she wants. She has been fully vetted and is heartworm negative. We believe she may have lived with cats in the past. If you have a soft spot on your couch and heart for this sweet senior, please email us at savethegiantsfl@gmail.com for more information on Patty and the provisions of the Forgotten Frosty Face adoption program.
