Rescue friends, meet Harlee (Scoobs). SHE is ~4 year old, 75 lbs. Harlee is a very sweet and VERY timid, petite, visually impaired girl. She is sweet as the day is long and loves to give kisses and have her person close by. Typical Velcro Dane x10. She needs a lot of work on her confidence, partially because of her lack of vision, but mostly because, in my opinion, people were mean to her. Her medical paperwork from the shelter attributes her lack of vision to cataracts, and a consult has recently confirmed that the sight issues are due to cataracts as well as some other eye issues. Not something she has always dealt with. The bright spot????, she can see light and shadows. Her foster mom has made tremendous progress with her confidence in such a short amount of time. That has worked wonders. The rescue believes, through a lot of discussion that cataract surgery isn't in her best interest. But we are very open to a discussion with her adopting family.
