About Penny – Mastiff

This little lady is Penny, she and I spent some quality time on the road Saturday transporting her into rescue. In a joint effort with Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue there were four cats, a Great Dane and Penny rescued from being abandoned in an apartment when the tenants moved out. The Dane went to Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue, the cats to another rescue and Penny came to us.
We believe her to be a young Mastiff mix. She is with me here at the office today. She is timid, but willing to experience new things. Once she investigates and feels safe she is a happy girl. She has met the staff and given her stamp of approval. She is excellent with the pack and obviously good with cats, since they all survived the ordeal.
She is housebroken and crate trained. She is also super sweet and loving, she will be a Velcro dog to whomever is lucky enough to adopt her. She will need training, being young and playful a fenced yard will be a requirement for Penny. It would be great if she had another dog of similar size and energy level to play with.
She has not been exposed to children, but I see no reason why she wouldn’t be good with older children.
